Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has given clarification amid the controversy over 'brainy Naxalite'. Kiren Rijiju has clarified that the Prime Minister has not called the opposition leaders 'mindless Naxalites'.

Naxalism had held a large part of India, a large population, at gunpoint for four decades and had torn the Constitution to pieces and more than 3500 police security forces were martyred in protecting the common citizens of the country.

The armed Naxalites are gone, but the mental Naxalites are looking for an opportunity, they are looking for ways of violence and anarchy. These mindless Naxals have to be identified who are playing various tricks to drag the society on the wrong path.”

After this statement of Prime Minister Modi, opposition leaders have started calling themselves 'brainy Naxals'. Congress leader P. Chidambaram wrote on the social media platform 'X' on Sunday, “I am proud to be a 'brainy Naxal'.”
