General Dheeraj Seth reached Nepal's Army Command and Staff College, interacted with officers!

Indian Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth on Tuesday met Nepali Army and foreign officials at the Army Command and Staff College in Shivpuri, Nepal. During this, he interacted with the trainee officers of Command and Staff Course. He stressed the importance of developing staff efficiency and leadership qualities among middle level military officers.

General Dheeraj Seth also addressed the trainee officers of the Army Command and Staff Course. Also interacted with the trainers and foreign trainee officers associated with the course. He discussed with the officers various aspects related to professional military training, leadership skills and role of military officers amidst changing security challenges.

It is noteworthy that command and staff training for military officers plays an important role in strengthening their professional competence. Such training helps officers develop strategic thinking, decision-making abilities and skills required for joint military operations.

Due to this, General Dheeraj Seth had paid a courtesy call on Nepal Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel. The two military chiefs discussed issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral military relations between India and Nepal.

General Seth is on an official visit to Nepal from 17 to 19 August. During his visit, he also met senior dignitaries of Nepal and discussed issues related to common interests of both the countries. The long-standing military cooperation between India and Nepal and further strengthening of bilateral defense relations were prominent topics in the conversation.

General Dheeraj Seth also planted saplings in the Nepalese Army Headquarters premises. The visit reflects the age-old friendly relations between India and Nepal and the deep and ever-growing cooperation between the armies of the two countries. The purpose of General Dheeraj Seth's visit is to further strengthen defense and military cooperation between the two countries and to pursue high-level dialogue on issues of mutual interest.

It is noteworthy that Nepalese President Ramchandra Paudel on Monday gave the honorary rank of General of the Nepalese Army to Indian Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth. General Dheeraj Seth was awarded this honorary rank at a special investiture ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Kathmandu.

In fact, conferring the honorary rank of General of the Nepalese Army on General Dheeraj Seth was not just a formal honour, but was part of a unique and age-old tradition of special military relations between India and Nepal.
