A tragic incident has come to light from Cancona area of Goa state. Dead bodies of two elderly sisters were found in a house. It is being told that both the sisters lived alone in the house for many years. Police suspect that both of them have committed suicide. Both are around 70 years old. Police have found a suicide note from the spot. In the suicide note, the sisters have mentioned the money deposited for their last rites. It has also been told where the money is kept.
Bodies of two elderly sisters have been recovered from their own house in Cancona area of South Goa. The two sisters were 70 and 73 years old and were living alone together for years. On Sunday, September 20, at around 9:40 pm, the police received information that a strong smell was coming from the house. When the police team reached the spot, the bodies of both were found in very bad condition. Based on initial investigation, police said that looking at the dead bodies, it seems that both of them might have committed suicide about four days ago.

Suicide note found in the room
Police have found a suicide note and a bottle of spirit chemical from the room. In the suicide note, the sisters have told about the money kept at home for the last rites. He had written in the note that he had saved more than Rs 15,000 for the last rites. Also told where the cash was kept.

A few days ago, a member of the Panchayat had gone to his house to inform him about the LPG cylinder scheme. The member told that when he went to their house 8 days ago, they refused to avail the benefits of the scheme. One sister told that she was fed up with life and did not want to live much longer. However, at that time no one paid much attention to what he said.
At present the police have started investigating the matter. Post-mortem of the dead bodies was done but due to severe damage to the body the doctors could not tell the exact cause of death. After this, samples of his viscera have been preserved for testing. Also, the bodies have been handed over to the family members for last rites.
