Once again Modi government!

If Lok Sabha elections are held in the country today, then according to the latest survey of 'India Today-CVoter Mood of the Nation', the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to come to power again. According to this survey, NDA is expected to get 326 seats. However, compared to the January 2026 survey, NDA's potential seats have decreased by 26 seats.

If we look at party-wise figures, BJP seems to be facing a slight setback. In the latest survey, BJP is expected to get 261 seats. In the January survey, BJP was expected to get 287 seats. That means, BJP's potential seats have decreased by 26 seats in six months. On the other hand, the survey shows a big improvement in the performance of Congress. Congress is expected to get 106 seats, which is 26 seats more than the January estimate of 80 seats. The Congress-led 'India' alliance is expected to get a total of 185 seats. The January survey had predicted 182 seats.

The survey also shows that NDA is leading in terms of vote share. The NDA is expected to get 45.1 percent votes, slightly less than 47 percent in January. 'India' alliance is expected to get 39.1 percent votes. This is a slight change from 39 percent in January. NDA got about 44 percent votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Although the survey shows that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity is still strong, the approval rating for his work has declined. 58 percent people like Modi's work. This figure has decreased by six percentage points compared to the survey of January 2026. In the survey, 51 percent people said that Modi's work was good, while 17 percent said it was average and 27 percent called it bad.

Inflation has been the biggest issue in people's dissatisfaction with the work of the government. 23 percent people considered inflation as the biggest failure of the government. This was followed by unemployment (16 percent) and economic growth (14 percent). At the same time, 13 percent people called political stability the biggest success of the government. 11-11 percent people considered Ram temple and infrastructure as important points in the work of the government.
