Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen through the 137th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat'. PM Modi said that this year has become even more special with the completion of 150 years of 'Vande Mataram'. This time more than 8 crore tricolor selfies have been uploaded. This celebration of the tricolor was not limited to India only.
This year, our tricolor went on a unique journey around the world through Surya Path Tiranga. The tricolor was hoisted with the first rays of the sun in Suva, Fiji. After this, the tricolor was hoisted at Indian missions and posts in Asia, Africa, Europe and then up to San Francisco in America. How wonderful these scenes must have been.”
Prime Minister Modi said that as the sun moved forward across the world, the Indian tricolor was also hoisted. Such efforts unite the society. This also deepens our connection with the country. My heartiest congratulations to all those involved in these efforts.
The PM further said that every day from morning to evening, lakhs of women are busy in their work on the streets of our cities and towns. Some sell vegetables, some fruits, some set up tea stalls, some sell flowers, lamps and puja items. Many times, just a little lack of capital stops their business from progressing.
