A case of murder of a 22 year old girl has come to light in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, the 23-year-old accused allegedly called the girl to meet her on her birthday and took her to a hotel. It is alleged that there he sexually assaulted the girl and later killed the girl when she resisted his attempt to sexually assault her again.
During the investigation of the case, the police claimed to have recovered the girl's mobile phone and sexually stimulating drug pills from the possession of the accused. According to the police, during interrogation the accused confessed to taking medicines and raping the girl. A case has been registered under SC/ST Act including murder and rape.
The girl was returning to the village on Rakshabandhan
According to the police, the deceased was originally a resident of Firozabad and worked in a quick-commerce delivery company in Gurugram. She was returning to her village on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. During this time the accused persuaded her to meet him on 26th August. It is being told that the accused and the girl already knew each other. Both of them studied together till 12th class. According to police investigation, the accused had planned to meet the girl on the occasion of her birthday.
Accused of taking you to hotel instead of reaching home
Police say that the accused allegedly stopped the girl from going to her house and took her to a hotel in Firozabad. It is alleged that the accused had sexual relations with her in the hotel, while the police have registered a case of rape with the girl's consent.
During the investigation, the police found the deceased's mobile phone and sexually stimulating drug pills from the accused. According to the police, during interrogation the accused admitted to consuming these medicines and raping the girl.
Attempt to sexually assault again, accused of murder after protest
According to the police, the most serious part of the incident came to light in the early hours of August 27. It is alleged that the accused tried to sexually assault the girl again. The girl protested against this, after which the accused allegedly attacked her on the head. Police claim that the girl was seriously injured in the attack and died.
Post mortem showed severe head injury and internal bleeding.
The police have described the post-mortem report as important evidence in the case. According to the report, the girl died due to severe head injury and internal bleeding. Police officials say that the evidence collected from the spot and the post-mortem report have provided the basis for investigation into allegations of rape and murder.
Father lodged complaint, FIR in police station
The girl's father lodged a complaint at Shikohabad police station on 27 August. Based on the complaint, the police started investigating the case. Police have registered an FIR under section 103(1) murder and 64(1) rape of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Along with this, relevant sections of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Act have also been imposed. The deceased belonged to the Dalit community, hence sections of SC/ST Act have also been added in the case.
Accused arrested, court sent him to jail
After investigating the case, the police arrested the 23-year-old accused. He was produced before the court, from where he was sent to jail in judicial custody. Police are now searching for the second accused involved in the case.
Search continues for 24 year old second accused
According to the police, a 24-year-old man is also accused of being involved in this incident. The investigating agencies suspect that he had helped the main accused. The police have made the second accused a co-accused and the search is on to arrest him. His role and alleged contribution in the incident is being investigated.
The deceased had done BSc and Nursing course.
Investigation has revealed that the deceased was advanced in studies also. After studying with the accused till 12th, she continued her further studies. Along with obtaining BSc degree, she also did a nursing course. After this, she went to Gurugram for employment and started working in a company related to quick-commerce delivery app. She was returning to the village to meet her family on Rakshabandhan, but the incident took a serious turn after meeting the accused.
