Jumbo block between Churchgate-Mumbai Central on 6th September!

Western Railway will undertake five-hour Jumbo Block on the suburban section between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations on Sunday, 6 September 2026 for maintenance of track, signaling system and overhead equipment.

According to the press release issued by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, there will be jumbo block from 10:35 am to 3:35 pm on Up and Down fast lines.

During the block, all trains operating on the fast line between Churchgate and Mumbai Central will be diverted to slow lines. Due to this, passengers may have to face some additional travel time during this period.

Some up and down suburban services will remain canceled due to jumbo block. At the same time, some trains going towards Churchgate will be short terminated at Bandra and Dadar stations and sent back from there.

The detailed list of affected trains will be available with the station masters of all the stations in the suburban section.

Western Railway has appealed to passengers to plan their journey in advance keeping in mind the operational changes during the Jumbo Block. Railways has requested passengers to cooperate, so that the maintenance work can be completed safely and smoothly.

Important for passengers: There will be changes in the operation of fast local services between Churchgate-Mumbai Central between 10:35 am to 3:35 pm on 6th September.
