Those who play with the faith of other religions cannot be Sanatani: Akhilesh Yadav!

Samajwadi Party national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday targeted the Yogi government over the demolition of the mosque in the Saharanpur Collectorate complex. He said that people who do not respect other religions and play with someone's faith can never be true Sanatani.

Akhilesh Yadav said that Sanatan Dharma has given him the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, according to which the whole world is one family and true Sanatani believes in harmony. He said that a true Hindu can never insult another. He said that the biggest responsibility of the government is to maintain harmony in the society, but BJP is working to give communal color to such matters.

Regarding the action in Saharanpur, he raised the question whether the mosque committee should not have got the opportunity to appeal in the High Court and then in the Supreme Court. He alleged that the officers acted at the behest of the government, so that the parties concerned were not given a chance to get justice in the next court.

The SP chief targeted the BJP by linking the Saharanpur case to donations and alleged financial irregularities related to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He alleged that after the investigation and action of SIT in the case of alleged theft of offerings and devotees' money related to Ram Temple, BJP wants to divert public attention by giving a communal color to the issue. He said that the public has now understood what politics is going on behind such issues.

Akhilesh Yadav said that BJP should explain that if the judicial process could have proceeded in any case then why such hasty action was taken. He also appealed to the journalists that no matter should be distorted under the influence of political pressure or glamour. He said that true Sanatani is the one who believes in harmony and brotherhood.

In a program organized in Pratapgarh on the occasion of Teacher's Day, Akhilesh Yadav also targeted the Yogi government regarding the education system of the state. He said that teachers give direction to the future of the society and the country, but the present government is closing government schools. He alleged that closing a large number of government schools in the name of merger is playing with the future of children.

The SP President said that if the Samajwadi Party government is formed in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2027, about 26 thousand government schools which were closed in the name of merger will be reopened.

He said that SP founder and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav himself had been a teacher and he understood the problems of teachers and children. During his tenure, a target was set to open government schools in every Gram Sabha, so that every child of the village could get education.

Accusing the government of adopting a restrictive attitude towards education, he said that today parents feel uncomfortable even going to government schools to get information about their child's studies and progress.

He said that an educated child will ask questions and this is the reason why the government is weakening the education system. He alleged that this attitude is not in the interest of the future of the country.
