Two Indian students died in a tragic plane crash during flight training in Canada. The incident has been confirmed by the Consulate General of India in Vancouver, Canada.
The Indian students who died in the accident have been identified as Manoj Shivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambanam from Puducherry. According to information received from the Indian Embassy, both the students were practicing flying in Canada as part of their commercial pilot and aviation training. During this time this accident happened, in which unfortunately both the students died. The Indian Embassy has also made it clear that it is in constant touch with the local administration and the families of the deceased students. Embassy officials said that all necessary assistance is being provided to the families in the process of repatriating the bodies of the two deceased students to their native states with dignity.
Due to this incident, there is mourning in the homes and families of both the students. Local officials are investigating the causes of the plane crash. Meanwhile, the Consulate General of India in Vancouver on Sunday expressed its condolences on the plane crash.
“The Consulate General of India in Vancouver expresses its deep sorrow over the demise of Manoj Shivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambanam from Puducherry. Both Indian students lost their lives in an unfortunate plane crash during their flight training in Canada,” the embassy said in a post on social media platform 'X'.
The embassy further said, “Our thoughts are with the grieving families and their loved ones at this difficult time. We stand ready to provide all necessary consular assistance to their families to repatriate their bodies to India.”
