Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis targeted Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that even though Rahul Gandhi is showing the Constitution, his plan is something else. Their aim is to defame the constitutional institutions by keeping the Constitution in front.
Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “Rahul Gandhi's aim is to defame all the constitutional institutions and create distrust in the public mind towards them. He wants to create such a system that people lose faith in these institutions and spread anarchy in the country.
When the public starts believing that the existing constitutional system cannot provide them justice, then all these institutions will be pushed towards leftist ideology. This is a well-planned design of Rahul Gandhi.”
The Chief Minister also cornered Rahul Gandhi on the allegations of SIR and vote theft. He raised the question that if votes were removed through SIR then how did TMC win.
CM Fadnavis said, “I want to ask a question. In the West Bengal elections, in the areas where votes were reduced on a large scale due to SIR, there are at least 15 areas where TMC won. If anti-BJP votes were removed through SIR, then how did TMC win in those areas?”
He said that as far as SIR is concerned, everyone gets an opportunity in it. Every political party can appoint its own Booth Level Agent i.e. BLA at each booth and the BLA has the right to lodge objections. You can lodge objection on each page and each name of the voter list.
CM Fadnavis said, “If the name of any eligible voter has been left out, you can lodge an objection. If a person's name should not be in the list, then an objection can be lodged against him also. But you do not do anything in this process, even though you know that the process is going on.”
The Chief Minister said that even if there is a five-ten percent discrepancy in the process and a person's name is left out, that person can go later and register his objection.
Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, he said, “You don't have to participate in the process, you only have to create ruckus. You know the public is not accepting you and you don't even have issues, so these types of issues are being created.”
Making a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi, CM Fadnavis said, “I want to say in very clear words, no vote has been stolen, Rahul Gandhi's mind has been stolen. And when his mind has been stolen, I want to request the Prime Minister to form such a committee which will find his mind and bring him back, so that he can talk in the interest of the country, do the right thing and speak the truth.”
