Do Uttha Parsvakonasana every day, legs and abdominal muscles will get strengthened!

There are many asanas in yoga system, which help in strengthening the body as well as maintaining flexibility and balance. 'Uththita Parsvakonasana' is also one such yoga asana, which is done to strengthen the lower part of the body and stretch the side limbs.

'Utthita Parsvakonasana' is also called 'Extended Side Angle Pose'. In this asana, one hand is placed on the ground and the other hand is raised obliquely above the head and the body is pulled in a straight line. Its practice strengthens the muscles of the legs, thighs, hips and stomach, which improves digestion and brings flexibility to the spine.

The Ministry of AYUSH has thrown important light on the benefits of doing this. 'Utthita Parsvakonasana' is a Sanskrit word, meaning extended 'side angle pose'. This is a standing yoga asana, which massages the abdominal organs, improves digestion and strengthens the legs and spine.

Apart from this, flexibility also increases in the body and has a positive effect on the spine. At the same time, it also gives peace to the mind and keeps away from mental stress. Regular practice also increases body balance, concentration and stamina.

It is very easy to do this. For this, first of all spread both the legs away from each other on the yoga mat. Now slowly bend the toes of the right foot outwards from the knee and sit down in the same posture.

Then place your right hand on the ground near the right foot and try to keep the left hand straight upwards at a 90 degree angle. Try to remain in this posture for some time, then gradually become normal.

However, beginners may face some difficulty in doing this but gradually they will get used to it and the body will start opening up.

Beginners should do this asana only under the supervision of an expert and if anyone has a serious injury, migraine, or has recently undergone any surgery, then consult a doctor or yoga expert before doing it.
