Faheem alleges that Congress workers beat him up for raising slogans in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi Police. In this case, Delhi Police has registered an FIR on the basis of the complaint.
While talking to IANS, Faheem Nazir Shah narrated his ordeal. She said, “The entire country saw yesterday how Congress workers beat me. Rahul Gandhi was going to a nearby restaurant at the same time, but he did not even try to stop his workers. I was beaten because I raised slogans of Hindustan Zindabad, Prime Minister Zindabad, Delhi Police Zindabad and Home Minister Zindabad.”
Faheem said that when the Supreme Court is looking into the matter then what is the need to spread anarchy on the streets. He said, “You talk about democracy, democracy also has the Supreme Court of India. When the highest court of the country is hearing this case, then what is the need to make the country Nepal?”
He said, “I will not let this country become Nepal, I will not let it become Sri Lanka, I will not let it become Bangladesh. Every drop of my blood is sacrificed for this country. My blood is sacrificed for the state police and army, my blood is sacrificed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister.”
Faheem told that the poster he was holding had it written on it – “I am the biggest fan of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the Prime Minister.” He said that he had made this poster because CJP and Rahul Gandhi are accusing the Prime Minister that there is theft in EVMs, there is theft in SIR and the Election Commission is working for BJP and the Prime Minister.
Countering Congress's allegations regarding EVMs, Faheem said, “Congress brought EVMs in 1989, Rajiv Gandhi introduced it. In 2004, elections were held with EVMs across the country and you won with an overwhelming majority. In 2009, elections were again held with EVMs and you again won with an overwhelming majority. Then EVMs were fine.
When asked about the injuries, Faheem said that he was injured on his eye and arm. He thanked Delhi Police. Faheem said, “I am thankful to Delhi Police, Connaught Place police station and SHO Saheb and his entire team. When I came here with a complaint, they took immediate action and registered my FIR.”
Faheem said, “I am a big fan of Prime Minister Modi. My first attempt was on 23 August 2021, when I set out on foot from Srinagar to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister. Due to some reasons I could not meet him, that is a different matter. Since then, I have been continuously raising my voice on issues related to the country, Army, State Police, Prime Minister and Home Minister.”
