RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had addressed the annual Vijayadashami rally on the organization's foundation day in Nagpur.
He highlighted the importance of self-awareness, Swadeshi, social harmony, family values and national unity. Bhagwat said the organization has organized various events over the past year as part of its centenary celebrations and the Vijayadashami celebration is the culmination of the year's activities.
The RSS chief described 'Panch Parivartan' as an 'important blueprint' for positive social renewal, national progress and individual behavior change. It includes five things (social harmony, family enlightenment, environmental consciousness, self-realization and Swadeshi, and civic discipline).
Mohan Bhagwat said, “The five changes are accepted everywhere because the situations they serve as solutions are being experienced by everyone. In particular, family awareness, civic discipline and environment – these are instantly understood by people all over the world. Their need has been felt in other countries of the world as well.”
“However, this is not a one-year program, nor has it been conceived that way. Volunteers should keep that in mind, and citizens should also understand that to bring about a change in our conduct as a way of life, it should become a habit through direct action,” he said.
