2 new railway lines will be laid in UP, great news for these districts

Lucknow. A major step has been taken towards strengthening the railway network in Uttar Pradesh. The Central Government has decided to extend the proposed third and fourth railway lines from Ghaziabad to Sitapur up to Burhwal. This project will not only directly benefit many districts of the state, but it will also play an important role in the economic development of entire North India.

Highlights of the project

There are already two railway lines between Ghaziabad and Sitapur, on which there is heavy pressure of passenger and goods trains. Now along with laying the third and fourth lines on this route, it will be extended further by about 96 kilometers from Sitapur to Burhwal. With this, this route will develop as an important economic corridor.

New stations and employment opportunities

Many new railway stations will also be built under this project, which include New Hapur, New Moradabad, New Rampur, New Bareilly, New Shahjahanpur and New Sitapur. This will not only improve passenger facilities but will also increase employment opportunities at the local level. Lakhs of man days of employment are likely to be generated during and after the project.

There will be reduction in travel time, benefit to passengers

At present, trains on this route are often delayed due to congestion. Due to heavy load of trains at major places like Roja Junction, passengers have to wait. After the commencement of the new lines, the movement of trains will be smooth and the travel time may reduce by 1 to 2 hours.

New option for Lucknow, relief to people

There is currently a single line from Lucknow to Sitapur, due to which the pressure remains high. With the doubling of this section, new routes will be developed, which will create an alternative route for states like Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab. This will make better management of trains possible.
