The ranking assessed each city based on the availability of workspaces, leisure options and cultural venues, as well as national internet speeds, local cost levels and the number of comfortable working days. It defined comfortable working days as those with an average temperature of 15 to 28 degrees Celsius and less than 5 mm of rainfall.
To identify the cities with the best overall setup, the platform ranked 104 of the world’s largest cities based on factors considered important to digital nomads.
The study initially assessed 150 of the world’s largest cities by population, using the UN’s Degree of Urbanization definition, but excluded 46 cities for various reasons.

Seoul was named the world’s best city for digital nomads, followed by Tokyo.
According to the ranking, Hanoi with a score of 71.86 stood out for its high concentration of workspaces, with 96.88 spots per square kilometer.
The Vietnamese capital also has 180 comfortable working days, well above Seoul’s 105 and Tokyo’s 103.
However, its national download speed is relatively low, at just 16.12 Mbps, the report added.
Ho Chi Minh City, which scored 64.28, has 56.73 places to work from per square kilometer, almost matching Seoul.
