210-hectare forest takes shelter at center of Vietnam’s industrial hub
The Bien Hoa environmental and landscape protective forest covers 210 hectares, with rapid urbanization and a wave of industrial parks rising around it.
The former Dong Nai Province became a centrally-governed city from April 30, joining six others – its neighbor Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho and Thua Thien Hue, which report directly to the central government rather than through a provincial government and act as major economic, political, and cultural hubs.
