Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced setting up of a new vehicle manufacturing plant at Bidkin Industrial Area in Maharashtra. The project, which is planned to start production by 2029, will have the capacity to manufacture 1 lakh vehicles per year. State-of-the-art manufacturing processes including stamping, welding, painting and assembly will be carried out here, mainly for the production of new SUV models. The project will create around 2,800 jobs and is considered as an important milestone for Toyota to meet the growing demand in the Indian as well as global markets.

The project is planned to start production in the first half of 2029 and will have the capacity to manufacture 100,000 vehicles per year. The project will provide employment opportunities to around 2,800 persons. The factory will carry out key manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, painting and assembly. Notably, the project will primarily produce a new SUV model, which will cater to global needs including the Indian market.
