43rd District Athletics Meet on 6-7 June in Parsa, preparations reviewed

Chhapra (Saran). The 43rd District Athletics Competition of Saran District Athletics Association will be organized on June 6 and 7 at the stadium located at Parsa High School. Regarding this, a meeting of District Athletics Association was organized in the stadium located in Parsa Block Complex on Sunday, which was presided over by Shyamdev Singh.
Secretary of the association, Gajendra Kumar Singh said that during the 42nd District Athletics Meet held earlier, a proposal was passed to hold the next competition in Ekma, but in view of the preparations and necessary arrangements, this time the hosting was unanimously handed over to Parsa block. The district union team reached Parsa on Sunday to take stock of the preparations for the event.
In the meeting, Organizing Secretary Rohit Yadav was given information about various standard operating procedures related to the competition. National Athletics Official Co-Coach Amit Saurabh discussed in detail the technical aspects related to the event. After site inspection and discussion, final approval was given to the date and place.
Secretary Gajendra Kumar Singh said that under District Athletics Association’s letter no. 5, dated 27th April, Rohit Yadav has been made the Organizing Secretary, handing over the hosting to Parsa. The organizing committee will be formed soon. There was also discussion in the meeting regarding accommodation, food, drinking water and other necessary arrangements for the players. Players from across the district will participate in the competition. The players performing better will be selected for the state level competition organized at Pataliputra Sports Complex under the aegis of State Athletics Association as per the guidelines of Athletics Federation of India.
In the competition, under-14, under-16 boys and girls categories along with men and women players will participate in various events. Since there is on-the-spot selection for the state level competition, the players have been instructed to bring birth certificate and Aadhar card with them. Raj Kishore Tiwari, Kamaljit Kumar and other officials were present in the meeting.
