According to local MLA Palli Sindhura Reddy, these projects will not only give impetus to industrial development but will also create new employment opportunities for thousands of youth.
Foundation stone of ₹1 lakh crore aeronautical industry to be laid on May 15
The biggest part of this ambitious plan is an aeronautical (aviation) industry, in which an investment of about ₹1 lakh crore is proposed. This project is being considered a major step towards developing the area as a major aerospace hub of the country.
MLA Palli Sindhura Reddy said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone of this aeronautical project on May 15. The project is likely to lead to technological development and increased opportunities for high-skilled jobs in the region.
5,000 MW Solar Power Project: Big step towards green energy
Along with industrial development, major changes are also planned in the energy sector in Puttaparthi. A 5,000 MW capacity solar power project will be set up in Amdaaguru mandal at a cost of ₹51,000 crore.
This project will not only boost clean energy generation but will also be an important initiative towards making the region a leader in renewable energy.
Additionally, the project will also be expanded to OD Cheruvu and Nallamada areas, thereby strengthening the energy infrastructure in the entire region.
More than 40,000 job opportunities
The biggest impact of these huge projects will be seen in the form of employment generation. It is estimated that approximately 40,000 people will get direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Experts believe that investment in sectors like aerospace and solar energy will provide new opportunities for technical and industrial training to local youth, which will reduce regional unemployment.
Development work worth ₹85 crore in last 22 months
The MLA said that ₹85 crore has been spent on infrastructure development in the area during the last 22 months. This amount has been used in the construction and improvement of roads.
This includes construction of CC (cement concrete) roads and asphalt roads, thereby ensuring better connectivity between rural and urban areas.
According to the local people, these development works have made transportation easier and business activities have also seen improvement.
Water resources projects: 193 ponds and 2 reservoirs will get Krishna river water
A big plan has also been prepared to overcome the water crisis in Puttaparthi area. The MLA announced that 193 ponds and 2 reservoirs will be filled with Krishna river water in the coming three years.
The objective of this scheme is to strengthen the agriculture sector and provide permanent irrigation facilities to the farmers.
Experts say that this step will increase agricultural production and provide relief to areas suffering from drought.
Distribution of land rights passbooks to 526 farmers
New land ownership passbooks were also distributed to 526 farmers during the program. This step is being considered an important initiative towards ensuring farmers legal rights over their land.
The government claims that by making land records digital and transparent, farmers will be provided protection from any kind of land dispute in future.
Balanced model of rural and industrial development
These ongoing projects in Puttaparthi are not limited to just industrial development, but are also taking along rural development. On one hand, industries are expanding with huge investments, while on the other hand, attention is also being given to agriculture and water resources.
According to experts, this model can become an example of balanced development, in which equal importance is being given to both industry and agriculture.
Potential to bring major changes from economic point of view
This investment of ₹1.51 lakh crore can develop the Puttaparthi region as a new economic hub. Investment in sectors like aeronautical and solar energy will not only strengthen the local economy but will also have a positive impact at the state level.
Apart from this, there will also be growth potential in local supply chains, small businesses and service sectors.
Expert opinion: Milestone in regional development
Economic experts believe that if these projects are completed on time, Puttaparthi and surrounding areas can become one of the major industrial hubs of South India.
However, experts also believe that strong administrative monitoring and transparency will be essential for successful implementation of the projects.
Expectations and challenges of local people
There is enthusiasm among local residents about these announcements, especially regarding the expansion of employment and infrastructure facilities. However, some people believe that it will be a big challenge to get such a large scale investment off the ground.
Issues like environmental impact, land acquisition and timely completion of projects may also become the subject of further discussion.
