6 new ministers will soon take oath in UP, these names are at the forefront of the race
Bharatiya Janata Party is busy sharpening the caste and social equations before the 2027 assembly elections. Preparations are being made to administer oath to six new ministers in the state government soon. In this, former state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Pooja Pal, Manoj Pandey, Krishna Paswan, Ashok Kataria, Rajeshwar Singh or others may get a chance.
According to sources, Pooja Pal, who won the election from Chail assembly seat of Kaushambi on Samajwadi Party ticket, is considered to be the frontrunner to become a minister. He has been in constant touch with BJP leaders since his expulsion from SP in August 2025. It is believed that BJP can give them a big responsibility to woo the voters of Pal community.

Entered politics after her husband’s murder
Pooja Pal entered active politics in 2005 after the murder of her husband and former MLA Raju Pal. In the year 2007, she became MLA for the first time on BSP ticket. After losing the 2017 elections, she joined the Samajwadi Party in 2019 and reached the Assembly by winning the 2022 assembly elections on SP ticket. He is considered to have a good hold on the voters of Pal community.
Preparation to attract Brahmin and Gurjar voters
BJP has started efforts to woo Brahmin and Gurjar voters in the state. SP’s rebel MLA from Unchahar, Rae Bareli, Manoj Pandey is a big face of Brahmins. In such a situation, to keep the Brahmins on their side, it is considered almost certain that they will become ministers. Ashok Kataria, MLA from Gurjar community of Western UP, is also in the race for minister.

Krishna Paswan’s name also in the race
Dalit Pasi community MLA Krishna Paswan can also be made a minister from Fatehpur under women quota. He is an MLA from Khaga assembly seat. From the Center to the state government, BJP is emphasizing on increasing the representation of women.
