National Film Awards 2026 Winners List: The grand ceremony of the 72nd National Film Awards was held today in Ekta Nagar, Kevadiya, Gujarat. This grand event started live at 3 pm. Kanchanuru Pradeep Kumar Shetty received National Award
Kanchanuru Pradeep Kumar Shetty was awarded the National Award for the best book on cinema. He had written a book named 'Naniruvude Nimgaagi Nadiruvade Mangagagi'. For this, the publisher Mirror Book was also awarded the Golden Lotus.
Aanand L Rai also received National Award
At the same time, Aanand L Rai has been honored with the National Award (Non-Feature Film Category) for his documentary on the Statue of Unity, a symbol of unity. Apart from them, Soundarya Jayachandran received the Silver Lotus Award for Best Narration. At the same time, the President honored Sanjeev Srivastava with the National Award for Best Critic.
Karthik got the National Award for Best Actor and Yami for Best Actress.
Karthik Aryan was given the Best Actor Award for 'Chandu Champion'. In the same category, Mammootty was given the award for the Malayalam film 'Brahmayugam'. At the same time, actress Yami Gautam was given the National Film Award for Best Actress for 'Article 370'.

Article 370 received the Best Feature Film Award
Apart from this, director Aditya Dhar received the National Award for Best Feature for the film 'Article 370'. At the same time, Randeep Hooda received the Best Debut Director award for 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. On this occasion, Randeep's wife was seen capturing this moment on camera.

Dhanush got two national awards
Actor and director Dhanush has been honored with two prestigious National Awards simultaneously at the 72nd National Film Awards (2026). He received the National Award for 'Special Mention' for his excellent and impressive acting in the film Captain Miller. At the same time, his Tamil film has received the award of 'Best Tamil Feature Film'. This is the first National Award as a director.

Anant Nag received Dadasaheb Phalke Award
Veteran actor Anant Nag was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Before giving the honour, a short story related to his life journey was shown on the stage. After receiving the award, Anant Nag addressed the people present there. He said, 'I got many wonderful opportunities in the Kannada industry. Got a lot of support. Anant Nag said, 'I am very grateful. I want to remember some people who have been with me in my 55 years of acting career. This award is not just for me, it is for every producer, director, dialogue writer, songwriter, make-up artist, assistant director. This award is for the millions of people who made a place for me in their minds and hearts.
