8 New Toyota Cars Launching Soon
In the last few years, Toyota Kirloskar Motor India has managed to grow its portfolio a lot. However, the company does not want to slow down, and it is now working on a number of new models. Toyota, in the coming period, will be launching 7 new models, and if you are interested in knowing the details of these models, then you have come to the right spot.
Toyota has already unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux in the international markets, and it is believed that this new model will soon be making its way to India as well. Internationally, the new-generation model also gets an all-electric version. However, most likely, it will not be sold in India. We will get the same 2.8-litre diesel model with the new 48V mild-hybrid system, similar to the Fortuner Neo Drive.
The new Hilux will now boast a completely redesigned exterior, which will be a lot sharper and more aggressive. Meanwhile, on the inside, we will see dual 12.3-inch screens, ADAS features, and improved off-road capability. Its launch in India is expected to take place in 2027. As for the pricing, it could start at Rs 32 lakh and go up to Rs 45 lakh.

Next up in the launch roster of Toyota is the most popular 7-seater SUV in India, the new-generation Fortuner. In the last few months, various spy shots of this SUV have surfaced. We know that it will be offered with a Hilux-inspired design, featuring slimmer LED headlamps, a larger grille, redesigned bumpers, and a more premium overall appearance. The interior of this SUV will also be updated and modernized.
We will most likely see a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, connected features, and Level 2 ADAS technology. Toyota will continue to offer the same 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engines and also offer the 48V mild-hybrid diesel option. The new Fortuner is expected to have its global debut later this year. So, most likely, its launch in India will take place by the end of this year or by early 2027. Its pricing will be in the range of Rs 38 lakh to Rs 60 lakh.

It has been reported that Toyota is currently developing a more affordable hybrid version of the Innova Hycross. This new model will replace the diesel-powered Innova Crysta, which will be discontinued by March 2027 due to stricter emission regulations. Internally codenamed 840D, this new variant will target fleet operators and cost-conscious buyers.
It is expected to come powered by the same 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain, which will make 182 hp and offer excellent mileage. Toyota could also offer this version with flex-fuel capabilities. Its launch is expected to take place in 2027, and prices will most likely start from around Rs 24 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki is working on a series-hybrid version of the Fronx. Once that model arrives, Toyota is also expected to introduce its version of the Taisor with the same technology.
Toyota aims to introduce the extremely efficient series-hybrid version of the Taisor by late 2026 or early 2027. It is expected to use a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that functions solely as a generator to charge the battery pack, while the electric motor powers the wheels. This set-up is rumoured to deliver an impressive fuel efficiency of up to 35 km/l.

Toyota is currently also developing a brand-new electric MPV, which will be based on the Maruti Suzuki YMC. This MPV will sit on the HEARTECT-e architecture, and it is expected to be offered with battery pack options ranging between 40 kWh and 60 kWh. Its list of features will most likely include a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, reclining seats, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS.
Once launched in India, it will take on rivals including the Kia Carens Clavis EV, BYD eMax 7, and Mahindra XEV 9S. The launch is expected to take place around the end of 2027, and pricing will most likely sit between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 28 lakh.

Toyota is also gearing up to expand its SUV portfolio with the three-row version of the already popular Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The upcoming model has already been spotted testing in India and is expected to feature a longer wheelbase, larger dimensions, and additional seating capacity.
It will most likely offer the same existing 1.5-litre mild-hybrid and 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrains as seen in the standard Hyryder. This 7-seater SUV will slot in between the Hyryder and Innova Hycross and will target buyers who are looking for a practical family vehicle. Its launch will most likely take place before the end of this year, and it is expected to start from Rs 15 lakh and go up to Rs 25 lakh.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is also expected to receive a facelift soon. It has to be noted that the changes will not be extensive, and Toyota is likely going to update the SUV with a redesigned grille, refreshed bumpers, new alloy wheels, and a more feature-rich cabin.
One of the biggest additions could be a Level 2 ADAS suite, ventilated seats, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and others. The existing 1.5-litre mild-hybrid, strong-hybrid, and CNG powertrain options will most likely continue, with AWD availability on select variants. The facelift is expected to launch in 2026, and pricing will be in the range of Rs 12 lakh to Rs 22 lakh.

Last on this list is the updated iteration of the Toyota Rumion. As we all know, the Rumion is based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which will also be getting an update later this year. This means the Rumion will also get this update. It is believed that the rear overhang will be made longer to help accommodate the CNG tank and make more space in the third row. Apart from these, a few new features could be added, and the exterior design could be refreshed as well. The launch will most likely take place later this year or by early 2027.
