This represents an increase of ₹1,095 in their salary. On the other hand, for a retired employee receiving a monthly pension, if their basic pension is ₹9,000, their DA at 60% is ₹5,400. After a 3% increase, this will reach ₹5,670.
When will the DA increase be announced?
There has been no official announcement regarding the DA increase for central government employees. Currently, the 63% DA is based on the AICPI-IW data until June 2026. The central government and the Finance Ministry are expected to make an official announcement soon. The new DA rate will only be implemented after approval, and employees will receive the increased salary and arrears as of the date of implementation.
