According to media reports, the Pay Commission has extended the last date for submitting suggestions to June 15, 2026. That means the deadline on this has been extended. However, now lakhs of central government employees and pensioners can submit their recommendations through the Commission’s website only. By doing this, they will be able to get the benefit of arrears of Pay Commission which will be applicable from January 1, 2026. If seen, the Pay Commission is continuously working in this direction.
In this context, meetings are being held continuously by the Commission in different cities. By extending the deadline, employees have now got additional time to make amendments on pension and salary.
Who can recommend people?
Talking about recommendations, then Union Territory employees, All India Service officers, pensioners, Central Government employees as well as other eligible persons notified by the government can make their recommendations or put forth their demands. According to media reports, the last date for submitting memorandum to the 8th Central Pay Commission has now been extended to 15.06.2026. According to the information received, the Commission also made it clear that memorandums should be submitted only through the official website 8cpc.gov.in.
How much will be the salary increase?
Media reports and some other experts say that after the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, the salary of central employees may increase by 20% to 35%. According to the information, the fitment factor coefficient used to adjust the salary will be between 2.4 and 3.0.
