Sense of duty is the biggest message of Gita: Rajnath

  • He was killed after asking about religion in Pahalgam, the incident still disturbs him.

Chandigarh. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in the International Geeta Seminar organized at Kurukshetra University during his visit to Kurukshetra on Monday that the incident of Pahalgam still disturbs us, when our innocent tourists who had gone for tourism in Pahalgam were killed after asking about their religion. He said that the terrorists had not only challenged India’s peacefulness, but they had also believed that India’s complacency was its weakness. After this we gave a befitting reply through Operation Sindoor.

Rajnath Singh said that terrorists have forgotten that India is the country of Geeta, where there is compassion and there is inspiration to protect religion in war. The Defense Minister said that if the heat of peace is to be kept alive then the heat of power within it is essential. If we want to protect the innocent, the courage to make sacrifice is equally necessary. The Defense Minister said that Lord Shri Krishna had also explained to the Pandavas that the war should not be fought out of revenge or ambition but for the establishment of religion. He said that during Operation Sindoor we followed the message of Lord Shri Krishna.

India replied that India will fight against terrorism and India will not be weakened under any circumstances. Shri Krishna had explained to Arjuna in Kurukshetra that religion is not protected only by sermons, it is protected by deeds and Operation Sindoor was the same religion-based action that we, ourselves and our friends, should remember today.

The Defense Minister said that what is being publicized so much in the world today, Shri Krishna had told it thousands of years ago that man’s behavior is shaped by his thoughts and thoughts are purified through devotion and yoga. Sense of duty is the biggest message and contribution of Gita. Geeta is such a book, reading which brings enthusiasm and hope in adverse circumstances. Geeta not only shows the path of introspection but is also helpful in solving the confusions of the mind.
