Imran alias Rishabh Tiwari found guilty in the famous Diksha murder case of Nainital.

Nainital. The District and Sessions Court has convicted Imran alias Rishabh Tiwari, accused in the famous Diksha murder case of Nainital. A hearing will be held on February 26 to hear the sentence of convict Imran. In fact, on Independence Day, August 15, 2021, a Hindu girl, Diksha, was murdered in a hotel near Mallital police station in Nainital. The name of his partner Rishabh Tiwari came to light in this murder. Later, during police investigation, Rishabh Tiwari’s real identity was revealed as Imran, son of Itwejamu Addin, resident of house number 220, Patel Nagar Ghaziabad.

According to the prosecution, by hiding his real name and identity, accused Imran introduced himself to Diksha in the name of Rishabh Tiwari and brought her to Nainital for a visit. Two rooms were taken at Hotel Galaxy on the evening of 14 August 2021. Reporter Shweta Sharma and her friend Almas stayed in one room, while Deeksha and Imran stayed in the other room. On August 16, 2021, Shweta and Almas found Diksha’s dead body on the bed in the hotel room and Imran was absconding from the spot. After this a case was registered in Kotwali Mallital.

During the hearing of the case, District Government Advocate (Criminal) Sushil Kumar Sharma appeared on behalf of the prosecution. The prosecution recorded statements of 17 witnesses. Besides, experts from Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Chandigarh were also presented in the court, who certified the DVR related evidence seized from the spot. On the basis of all the evidence and witnesses, District and Sessions Judge Prashant Joshi ordered the accused Imran alias Rishabh Tiwari to be sent to jail in judicial custody, holding him guilty of murder. Now the court has fixed February 26 for hearing on Imran’s sentence period.
