Singapore Changi was voted the world’s second most friendly airport for family after South Korea’s Incheon International Airport as part of the World Airport Awards, according to London-based aviation consultancy Skytrax.

It is the only Southeast Asian representative in the category, which reflects the quality and quantity of family friendly initiatives at an airport based on factors such as family security facilities, immigration clearance, the standard of play areas, and baby and childcare rooms.

Changi Airport offers a well-rounded mix of complimentary and paid amenities designed for both children and parents.

Key highlights include indoor playgrounds, a four-story slide, a rooftop swimming pool, a butterfly garden, and free movie theaters.

Facilities for comfort include nap lounges, nursery rooms, and child-friendly rest areas distributed throughout the airport.

For years Incheon in South Korea has been voted the world’s most friendly family airport.

The airport features themed play zones inspired by popular characters such as Pororo and Pinkfong, providing engaging spaces for young passengers during layovers.
