China gives stern warning to America regarding blockade on Hormuz
Beijing: Amidst the increasing tension between Iran and America, global concern has increased due to China’s entry. Especially for the first time, China has given a strict warning to America regarding the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. China has clearly said that its relations with Iran are very important and there are strong trade relations between the two countries. China warned that if any third country tried to interfere in these relations, it would have serious consequences.
China’s Defense Minister said this
China’s Defense Minister Dong Jun said, “China will not tolerate bullying by a third country in its bilateral relations with any country.” He also made it clear that the Strait of Hormuz should remain open to China and if anyone creates obstacles in it, China will take appropriate action. China’s Foreign Ministry also described America’s attitude as irresponsible. According to the ministry, the US blockade of Hormuz is extremely dangerous and could have a serious impact on the global economy.
Even on the issue of arms export to Iran, China has made it clear that it will not come under pressure from any third country and will abide by its agreements. In fact, US President Donald Trump had threatened that if China supplies arms to Iran, a 50 percent tariff will be imposed on it. In response to the American warning, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang has issued a new order without naming any country. Under this order, if any country interferes with China’s interests, sovereignty, security or development in violation of international laws, China will take strong retaliatory measures.
Chinese President Xi Jinping also gave a strong message without naming America. He said that China is not a country to bend and all countries should follow international rules.
Gave a strong message to UAE also
Apart from America, China has also given a clear message to the United Arab Emirates. Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is on a visit to China these days. The Crown Prince raised objections to China-Iran relations during a meeting with President Xi Jinping. On this, Jinping said that UAE is a friend of China, but it cannot decide China’s relations with other countries. During the meeting, Xi Jinping said that peace in the Middle East is important for the whole world and for this all countries should respect each other’s sovereignty.
Jinping also advised America to follow international laws and strike a balance between development and security. Jinping also suggested the Gulf countries to improve their relations with Iran. He said that UAE is China’s largest trading partner in the Middle East and China’s annual trade with Arab countries is about 400 billion dollars. The supply of oil from Saudi Arabia, Iran and UAE is very important for China’s economy, while the supply of LNG and petrochemical products from Qatar also plays an important role. For this reason, China wants to strengthen its hold in the Middle East and is working towards reducing America’s influence. It is also getting support from Russia in this strategy.
