Elections in West Bengal (west bengal election) Chandra Kumar Bose has joined Trinamool Congress while Randhumali is going on. His political entry has sparked discussions. Chandra Kumar Bose joined the Trinamool Congress in the presence of Minister of State Bratya Basu and Trinamool Congress MP Kirti Azad.
Chandra Kumar Bose, the grandson of Subhash Chandra Bose, was earlier in the BJP party. But now he joined the Congress and targeted the BJP. After joining the Trinamool Congress, Chandra Kumar Bose said that today we see that the BJP practices divisive politics and spreads communal hatred. Now we have to fight to save India and oppose this divisive politics.” He took such a role.

After joining the ruling party in West Bengal, Chandra Kumar Bose said that the BJP was not following the ideals of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Chandra Kumar Bose severely criticized that it is not possible to work according to Netaji’s ideals while staying in that party.
Chandra Kumar Bose joined the BJP in 2016 and in the same year contested the assembly elections from Bhawanipur against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, but was defeated. He then contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Kolkata South, but lost in that too. He left BJP in 2023. Now he has joined Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress for the 2026 assembly elections.

Summons Bose for hearing in SIR
Soon after quitting the BJP, there were speculations that Chandra Bose would join the Trinamool Congress. The discussions gained momentum after his many complimentary remarks about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Recently, Netaji’s great-grandson was also summoned for hearing by the SIR. This incident subsequently created a controversy in state politics.
