Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran said- Investment and employment will increase rapidly in UP in the next five years, the state will become a big export hub.

Lucknow. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that Uttar Pradesh is one of the most promising industrial states in the country and the Tata Group’s presence here is going to more than double in the coming years. The state has vast opportunities for expansion of industries due to favorable investment environment, better infrastructure and strong leadership. N Chandrasekaran said these things on the occasion of flag off of Tata Motors’ 10 lakhth bus in the capital.

UP will become the main growth engine of the country

N Chandrasekaran said that the rapidly developing infrastructure, strong policy support and investment-friendly environment in UP is making it a major center of industrial development. Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said that the pace of development is clearly visible in the state. Due to the policies and cooperation of the state government, industries are getting better opportunities for expansion, thereby creating new opportunities for investment and employment on a large scale. The immense potential, growing economic activities and young workforce present in Uttar Pradesh have the potential to make it the main growth engine of the country. He expressed confidence that in the coming years the state will touch new heights not only in the field of industrial but also technological and social development.

Target to produce 20 lakh vehicles in the next five years

He said that the Tata plant in Lucknow is not just an industrial unit, but a powerful ecosystem developed with suppliers, partners and the local community, which is a symbol of trust and partnership between the Tata Group and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. This milestone of production of 10 lakh vehicles in 34 years reflects this strong relationship and continuous growth journey. N Chandrasekaran expressed confidence that given the progress made so far, the target of production of 20 lakh vehicles can be achieved in the next five years. India’s economy will grow at the fastest pace globally in the coming decades and Uttar Pradesh will play a leading role in this growth journey.

TCS’ UP units will have 40 thousand professionals in the next 5 years

N Chandrasekaran said that Tata Motors’ portfolio is rapidly expanding, which will include conventional diesel vehicles as well as CNG, electric and in future hydrogen based vehicles. With this, Uttar Pradesh can become an important manufacturing and export center not only for the country but also for the global market. Referring to the expansion of other Tata group companies, he said that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) currently has about 20,000 professionals working in Lucknow, Noida and Varanasi, whose number can reach 40,000 in the next five years. Apart from this, the group is also expanding rapidly in power, defence, retail and hospitality sectors, thereby creating new employment opportunities.

Active initiative in Mathura and Gorakhpur also, expressed gratitude to CM

He said that Tata Group is not limited to industrial development only, but is also making active contributions in social sectors. Taking initiatives in areas such as water conservation, skill development and artificial intelligence, the group is undertaking work such as revitalization of water sources in Mathura and setting up an AI Technology Center of Excellence in Gorakhpur. Expressing his gratitude towards Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said that this development has been possible only due to the cooperation and visionary policies of the government.
