‘You are cute’: Gandii Baat fame Taniya shows Yuzvendra Chahal slid into her IG DM; allegations PR forced her to delete video

Yuzvendra Chahal is controversy’s favourite child, and he has once again found himself in the middle of a social media storm. This time, the cricketer has allegedly slid into ‘Gandii Baat’ fame Taniya Chatterjee’s DMs.

The actor, in her recent interaction with the paparazzi, showed the media her Instagram DM and revealed that the cricketer had reacted with a “cutie ho” & “cute” message.

Needless to say, after her revelation, Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal found himself embroiled in yet another controversy. The personal messages were reportedly in response to her outfits, as seen in the clips.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Taniya mentioned that Chahal had replied to one of her stories with the message, “Aap cute ho” (You are cute).

After her claims went viral, Yuzvendra was pulled up left, right and centre for sliding into the actor’s DMs. Many also pointed out that she may have said something that was later unsent, while others argued that sharing private messages publicly without full context can be misleading.

A day after exposing Yuzvendra, Taniya Chatterjee shared that she received a message from Chahal’s PR team requesting her to remove the video in a conversation with India Forums. She claimed to have evidence and said she has nothing to hide.

Taniya Chatterjee said, “I got a message from his (Chahal’s) PR team asking me to delete the video, and I wondered why, because it is the truth and he hasn’t said anything shameful, right? It is a compliment given by a man to a girl, so why make a big deal out of it? If Chahal wants to talk directly, he can about this whole saga.”

However, Yuzvendra Chahal is yet to respond to these viral claims.

For the unversed, Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma announced their divorce in early 2025, five years after they tied the knot. He was later spotted with RJ Mahvash, but in January 2026, the two reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, fuelling break-up rumours.
