Chargesheet On Robert Vadra: Robert Vadra’s troubles may increase, court takes cognizance of ED’s charge sheet and orders him to appear in Shikohpur land case

New Delhi. Trouble may increase for Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi and husband of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The ED court located at Rouse Avenue, Delhi on Wednesday took cognizance of the charge sheet of the investigating agency against Robert Vadra and 8 other accused in the Shikohpur land deal case of Haryana. The court has ordered all the accused including Robert Vadra to appear on 16 May 2026.

The land case in Shikohpur, Haryana is of February 2008. The deal for 3.53 acres of land was done that year. ED has alleged that money laundering was done in the land deal. The agency has alleged that Robert Vadra’s company Skylight Hospitality Private Limited purchased this land from Omkareshwar Properties Private Limited for about Rs 7.5 crore. ED says that there were many irregularities in the deal. Regarding Robert Vadra’s company, ED claims that it did not have that much capital, but still the land was taken. ED alleges that wrong information was given in the sale deed by not paying the amount for purchasing the land. Mention was made of a check which was never issued or cashed.

ED alleges that stamp duty was evaded by deliberately under-reporting the land price. ED has said that in this land deal with Robert Vadra’s company, about Rs 58 crore is the proceeds of crime. ED has seized 43 properties in this case. Whose price is around 39 crores. The investigating agency says that all the properties are related to the Shikohpur land deal or were taken through it. The owner of these properties is Robert Vadra along with his companies Skylight, Artex etc. Now with the court taking cognizance of ED’s charge sheet, it is clear that Robert Vadra and 8 other accused will have to face the case. Robert Vadra has earlier been calling this case politically motivated and false.
