Car-bus caught fire after collision in Karnataka, six people of the same family burnt alive

Yadgiri (Karnataka). Six people of a family died on the spot in a collision between a car and a private bus near Devapur in Surpur taluk of Yadgiri district of Karnataka. The car was going from Yadgiri to Raichur and the car was going from Bengaluru to Kalaburagi. After the collision, both the car and the bus caught fire. The fire brigade team reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

The deceased have been identified as counselor Krishna Nayak (50), his wife Ananth Kala (45), Sharanappa (36), his wife Nisarga (30), son Siddharth (3) and Shashikala (30), all residents of Sirwar town in Raichur district. These are all car riders.

It is being told that this accident happened while returning after visiting Venugopal temple on the occasion of Amavasya. In this accident, car rider Athvik (5) and one year old Srinidhi miraculously survived. The condition of both is serious. He has been admitted to Yams Hospital in Yadgiri.
