Ingredients to make Drumstick Kadhi

  1. drumstick beans
  2. fresh curd
  3. Gram flour
  4. Turmeric
  5. Salt
  6. rye
  7. black mustard
  8. chilli powder
  9. coriander powder
  10. hing
  11. Cumin
  12. dried red chilli
  13. curry leaves
  14. fenugreek seeds
  15. coriander leaves

Step-by-step method of making drumstick curry

  • First of all, cut the drumstick beans into small pieces. After this, peel them and wash them thoroughly.
  • After this, prepare a solution by mixing curd and gram flour. Water can also be added to the mixture so that the solution does not become too thick.
  • Now put oil in a pan or pan and heat it. Add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds and crackle it.
  • After this add curry leaves, dry red chillies and put chopped beans in the pan.
  • Fry the drumstick beans well for some time.
  • In the next step, add salt and turmeric powder to the beans and cook. Lower the flame and cook the drumstick until it becomes soft.
  • Now add red chilli powder and coriander powder into it. Mix well.
  • Keep in mind that if you have added salt in the curd-gram flour solution, then add salt to the drumstick only accordingly.
  • After this, pour the gram flour solution into the drumstick beans. Cook it well while stirring.
  • Cook the kadhi on medium flame for 10 to 15 minutes, until its color changes.
  • After this you have to add green coriander leaves in the curry. To add flavor to the curry, add red chilli powder and dried red chilli to the oil.

Serve drumstick kadhi with hot rice.

Special note- Drumstick curry is made without onion and garlic. If you eat onion and garlic then you can add it.
