CM Mann leaves for Netherlands to accelerate industrial development of Punjab
As part of the continuous efforts of the Punjab Government to accelerate the industrial and economic development of the state, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today left for Netherlands on a visit to strengthen bilateral relations and attract investments in key sectors including food processing, logistics, alloys and steels, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that our vision is very clear, which is focused on making Punjab a priority destination for industry globally by providing policy stability, fast decision-making and governance that respects the time and trust of investors.
This visit is important because Netherlands is one of the largest foreign investors in India and many Dutch companies are already running their business in Punjab. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had earlier laid the foundation stone of De Hus Factory in Vividha Industrial Park, Rajpura in October-2023. Similarly, the Indo-Dutch Center of Excellence for potato crop is already working successfully in the state, which shows the growing collaboration between Punjab and the Netherlands.
During this visit, the Chief Minister will emphasize on strategic partnership in priority areas to further give impetus to the industrial development of the state. They will also present Punjab as the preferred investment destination of Northern India by highlighting its strategic location, seamless connectivity to NCR and major ports, strong industrial clusters, quality uninterrupted power supply, skilled workforce and progressive policy framework.
The Chief Minister-led delegation will present key administrative and regulatory reforms implemented by the Punjab Government, including 173 government-to-business services, auto-deemed approvals, PAN-based business identification, amendments to the Punjab Right to Business Act and Fasttrack Punjab Single-Window System.
The objective of this delegation is to present Punjab as an attractive investment destination for European countries and bring new investments into Punjab through a series of road shows, one-to-one business meetings and discussions with large global corporate companies and institutions.
