Trump is going to Pakistan for agreement with Iran! Roads sealed, hotel booking closed and lockdown like situation in Islamabad
New Delhi: Suddenly strict security arrangements have been implemented in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad. Preparations are underway for the second round of peace talks between America and Iran, due to which a lockdown-like situation has arisen in the city. Although no country has yet officially confirmed the meeting, but security arrangements suggest that a big conversation is about to take place.
Trump hints at coming to Islamabad
US President Donald Trump has said that he can come to Islamabad, but only if conditions are reached to sign the agreement. The security team of the high level American delegation has already reached Islamabad. Two American cargo planes have landed at Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, indicating to bring essential items before the arrival of the VVIP.
Roads sealed in Islamabad
Islamabad Police has completely closed the Red Zone and Extended Red Zone. Any kind of movement has been banned in these areas. Heavy and public transport services have been banned in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. People have been advised to use alternative routes. These security restrictions may continue for several days.
All private, public and goods transport in Rawalpindi is hereby suspended with immediate effect. Further updates will be shared.
All types of private, public and goods transport will remain suspended in Rawalpandi till further orders.
More information will be informed in time— DC Rawalpindi (@DCRawalpindi) April 19, 2026
Booking closed in hotels
Big hotels in Islamabad have stopped taking new bookings. The luxury Mövenpick hotel is completely full this week. Serena Hotel is not taking new bookings and already staying guests have also been asked to relocate from Sunday night. This is the same hotel where the first round of talks took place. It is clear from this that the hotels are being vacated for special preparations.
When will the talks take place?
The first round of talks ended on 12 April. Now preparations for the second round are going on. Iranian officials consider direct talks better. According to sources, the next meeting may be held till Tuesday. Pakistan is playing the role of mediator.
It is clear from Trump’s possible arrival and security arrangements that efforts for an agreement between the two countries have intensified, but Iran is still adamant on the demand of lifting the American blockade. The whole world is keeping an eye on this dialogue, because it may affect the peace of the Middle East and global oil supply.
