‘Agreement will be reached in a good or hard way’ Donald Trump angry over Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz again, gave a big warning
New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has accused Iran of seriously violating the ceasefire. Trump seems very angry over Iran’s decision to close the Strait of Hormuz again. He warned that there will be an agreement with Iran, whether in a good way or in a tough way.
Trump’s strict statement
Trump said, “This deal will happen. One way or the other. The good way or the hard way.” He accused Iran that Tehran is closing the Strait of Hormuz using the pretext of American blockade. Trump clearly said that Iran cannot blackmail America.
Iran had announced the opening of the Strait of Hormuz some time ago, but now it has reversed its decision. Iran says that this waterway will remain closed until America lifts the maritime blockade imposed on its ports.
Importance of Strait of Hormuz
The Strait of Hormuz is very important for the world. About 20 percent of the world’s oil passes through here. Closing this route could deepen the global energy crisis and increase oil prices.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced on Saturday night that the strait will remain completely closed. Some reports say that Iranian gunboats also fired on an oil tanker, although the people aboard are said to be safe.
Tension continues in the Middle East
Amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, a 10-day ceasefire with Hezbollah in Israel and Lebanon still stands. Thousands of people have been killed so far in this entire conflict. About 3000 soldiers have died in Iran, 2300 in Lebanon, 38 in Israel and 13 from America. The situation is still delicate and tension can increase at any time.
Preparation for talks in Pakistan
Preparations for the second round of possible peace talks between America and Iran are going on in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad. Pakistan is playing the role of mediator. Security arrangements have been tightened.
Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that his country wants lasting peace, but has difficulty trusting America. He made it clear that without removing the blockade, movement in Hormuz will remain limited.
