He described Mamata Banerjee government as anti-tribal and accused it of establishing Mahajungleraj. Launching a scathing attack on the ruling party in Purulia, Modi tried to portray the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) election campaign in Jangalmahal as a battle of development versus appeasement.

He alleged that Trinamool ignored the tribals, encroached on their lands and pushed the region into a cycle of corruption, fear and backwardness. The Prime Minister said, due to infiltration, changes are being seen in the language and culture of Bengal. Before the 2026 assembly elections, BJP has intensified its stance on identity and demographic issues.

He alleged that under the Trinamool government, Santhali language and tribal identity are being insulted while record budget is being allocated for madrassa education. Modi said, Santhali language is being insulted, while record budget is being given for madrassa education. This is just appeasement.

Describing Trinamool as anti-tribal, the Prime Minister claimed that there is a severe shortage of roads, drinking water, employment and basic facilities in the tribal-dominated districts of Bengal. He alleged that tribal lands have been captured by Trinamool gangs. Modi said, no work gets done in Trinamool’s Mahajangalraj without giving cut money (bribe).

TMC is interested in loot

He termed the Mamata Banerjee government as a ruthless government and said that it is only interested in loot and not in the welfare of the tribals. Modi said, Trinamool has given nothing except atrocities, loot, corruption and Mahajangalraj. He said that the people of Purulia, Bankura and Jhargram had earlier supported the BJP because they wanted freedom from fear and extortion. The Prime Minister claimed that the atmosphere in Purulia has now turned decisively against Trinamool. By using this slogan in Bengali language, he tried to show that public anger against Trinamool is increasing in the western part of West Bengal.

BJP will form government

Modi alleged that Trinamool’s corruption and atrocities terrorized the people of Bengal, but now people are considering BJP as the only credible option. He said, wherever atrocities reached their peak, people chose BJP as their option. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the BJP will form the next government in West Bengal with a decisive majority in the upcoming assembly elections.
