Bike Recalls: Harley-Davidson issues recall, 17 thousand motorcycles at risk of brake failure

Bike Recalls: American company Harley-Davidson has recalled about 17,000 units of its motorcycles after technical flaws were found in thousands of them. This company, which sells its powerful bikes in many countries including India, is currently in the news regarding a safety issue. According to media reports, this recall has been implemented only in America. This recall has been issued for 2025 and 2026 model year motorcycles, which have been found to have a potential technical defect.

Fault found in these models
According to reports, this problem has surfaced in four major models. These motorcycles may have brake line and body control module problems. Due to this defect, there is a risk of brake fluid leaking, which can lead to complete failure of the rear brake. This situation can cause an accident, especially during emergency braking, which poses a serious threat to the rider’s safety.

What will be the impact in India?
At present this recall is limited to America only. There has been no official confirmation of any such recall in India or other countries. However, the company can take this step in other markets also if needed in future.

Important information for customers
Harley-Davidson is notifying affected customers via email, call and text. Customers whose bikes are included in this recall will have to visit their nearest authorized service center and get it checked. If any bike is found to be defective, the company will fix the problem by replacing the parts at no extra charge.
