Anticipation Against India Will Be Assured

The Indian Army on Wednesday, April 22, once again reiterated its resolve against terrorism to mark one year of the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people. Recalling the decisive military action taken under ‘Operation Sindoor’, it also warned of retaliation for any act against India.

On 22 April 2025, the tourist town of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir was attacked by terrorists. 26 civilians were killed in this attack, which gave a deep shock to the entire country. This tourist destination famous for its natural beauty became drenched in blood due to the killing of innocent people by Pakistan-backed terrorists. On the first anniversary of this horrific attack, the Indian Army remembered ‘Operation Sindoor’ and gave a strong message to terrorists against crossing the border.

In a post on Twitter to mark the occasion, the Indian Army’s Additional Director General (Public Relations) wrote, “Acts against India are sure to be answered. Justice will be served, always,” and also shared a graphic of a vermilion with “Operation Sindoor continues…” written on it. In this cross-border attack in Pahalgam, the attackers had asked the religion of the victims before killing them, due to which even after a year, the families are in deep grief.

While India mourned the loss, the Indian Armed Forces took decisive action in the form of ‘Operation Sindoor’. Indian armed forces carried out strikes on terrorist targets located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK). Following the attack, India launched ‘Operation Vermillion’ on 7 May 2025, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and POJK. According to official information, during this operation, Indian forces destroyed nine major terrorist hideouts linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen and killed more than 100 terrorists.

After this, there was drone attack and artillery shelling from Pakistan side, due to which the conflict between the two countries continued for four days. India responded with a strong defence, destroying radar centers at Lahore and radar facilities near Gujranwala. After heavy losses, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) contacted the Indian DGMO and a ceasefire was agreed upon on 10 May.

Apart from this, ‘Operation Mahadev’ of the Army and security forces last year was another major joint success in which three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were detected and killed. Apart from military action, India also terminated the Indus Water Treaty and all bilateral trade relations with Pakistan.
