Congress Lashes Out At Mamata Banerjee: Congress angry over Rahul Gandhi not getting permission for public meeting in Kolkata, said – West Bengal is not Mamata Banerjee’s personal property.

New Delhi. Recently, when the Constitution Amendment Bill could not be passed due to the unity of the opposition, then the news came that Rahul Gandhi called TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and MP Abhishek Banerjee and thanked him for his support. Only after 48 hours of this gratitude memorandum, Congress is now furious at Mamata Banerjee and TMC. The reason is that Rahul Gandhi did not get permission for the public meeting in Kolkata. Rahul Gandhi wanted to hold a public meeting in Kolkata on 23 April, but the Mamata Banerjee government did not approve it.

On Rahul Gandhi not getting approval for the public meeting in Kolkata, Congress has said that West Bengal is not the property of Mamata Banerjee and TMC. Congress said that not giving approval to Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting directly shows a feeling of political insecurity. Which has been given the mask of administration. Congress sources told news agency ANI that the administration of West Bengal, especially the police, is working at the behest of the Mamata Banerjee government. Congress said it waited for approval till 6 pm on April 21, but the approval was not given. Now Congress will apply for Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting in Kolkata on 25th or 26th April.

In this matter, Shashi Panja, a minister in the Mamata Banerjee government, had said on Tuesday that applications for public meetings should be made through the convenience portal of the West Bengal government. Approval for public meetings is given through the Suvidha portal only. Panja had said that the approval process for the public meeting should be completed two to seven days in advance. Let us tell you that this time Congress has fielded its candidates on all the seats of West Bengal. In the year 2021, Mamata Banerjee did not distribute even a single seat with Congress for the West Bengal Assembly elections. The same condition was seen in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections also. Whereas, both Mamata Banerjee’s TMC and Congress are included in the Indi alliance of opposition parties.
