Pakistani cricketer had taken drugs in T20 WC: snatched the chance to play in England, PCB is investigating

It is being told that this sample was taken during the T-20 World Cup held this year. 32 year old Nawaz played all seven matches for Pakistan in that tournament. He scored 15 runs and also took 7 wickets during that period, but the team could not progress beyond the Super Eight stage.

Mohammad Nawaz had taken drugs
After this matter came to light, Nawaz’s career seemed to be affected. His deal with Surrey county team for the T20 Blast to be held in England was cancelled. Only two weeks ago, the Pakistan Cricket Board had given him a no objection certificate to play in this tournament and the Surrey team was going to announce his signing this week. But now this agreement has been broken and Nawaz will not be able to go to England this summer.

Will no longer be able to play for Surrey in England
A spokesperson of the Pakistan Cricket Board has said that the International Cricket Council has informed about this matter and the board has started taking action as per the rules. After completion of the investigation, its information will also be given to the council. At the same time, the International Cricket Council has not yet commented on this entire matter.

Currently, Nawaz is playing for Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super League. In the recent match played in Karachi, he bowled three overs, but could not take any wicket. His team won this match by six wickets.

Now everyone’s eyes are on what decision comes after the investigation. If the allegations are found true, then Nawaz can also be banned, which will be a big blow to his international and domestic career.
