This is what will happen if Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s batting is tampered with, RR is making a big mistake
In his debut season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Vaibhav Suryavanshi made headlines with his explosive batting. At the age of 14, he stunned everyone by scoring 254 runs at a strike rate of 220.86. Vaibhav also started the current season with a bang. This explosive left-handed batsman scored runs at a strike rate of 300 against big teams like Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). It seemed that he would bat in the same style throughout the season but his approach has changed in the last few matches.
After being out for a duck against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 13, Vaibhav scored 46 runs in 28 balls at a strike rate of 164.28 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was trying to play a little cautiously in front of KKR, due to which his strike rate declined. After this, on April 22, Vaibhav could score only 8 runs in 11 balls against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). During this, he also played the first maiden over of his IPL career.

Mohsin bowled a maiden over in front of Vaibhav
After being invited to bat first against LSG, Rajasthan Royals (RR) lost the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal (22) and Dhruv Jurel (0) on the last two balls of the third over. In such a situation, Vaibhav played defensively in the next over, contrary to his style. After playing the first 5 balls of Mohsin Khan carefully, he tried to hit a big shot on the last ball, which did not hit his bat properly and hung in the air towards the cover. Digvesh Rathi, running backwards, took a good cap and ended Vaibhav’s struggle. Mohsin took out a maiden in front of a batsman like Vaibhav and also took his wicket.

Is RR imposing additional responsibility on Vaibhav?
RR has always given Vaibhav the freedom to play freely. But the change in his approach in the last few matches has raised questions on the RR management. It is understood that Vaibhav is being given the responsibility of handling the innings when wickets fall early, due to which this 15 year old player is not able to play his natural game. This is affecting his batting and he is failing to leave his mark. People believe that RR should be given complete freedom by not giving extra responsibility on Vaibhav’s delicate shoulders, so that he can play without any fear again.
