Patna. There is intense heat and heat wave in Bihar these days, but now there are signs of change in the weather. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in some parts of the state from April 24, which can provide relief to people from the heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may change in North-Central and North-Eastern Bihar from April 24. There are chances of rain and thundershowers in Kishanganj, Araria and Supaul districts during April 27-28. Yellow alert has been issued for these areas.

The influence of westerly wind continues in the state. Wind speed is likely to be 40 to 50 km per hour in many areas. The effect of heat may increase further due to strong winds.

These days the effect of heat wave is being seen in most parts of the state including the capital Patna. The temperature remains high both during the day and night. At many places the maximum temperature has been recorded above 40 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Dumraon in Buxar reached 44.4 degrees Celsius, the highest recorded temperature of this season. Whereas in Patna the temperature was recorded at 41.2 degrees Celsius.

Effect of heat in other districts also

In districts like Gaya, Sheikhpura, Aurangabad, Rajgir, Bhabhua, Arwal and Jehanabad, the temperature has also crossed 40 degrees Celsius, due to which people are facing the scorching heat.
