New Delhi: Apple is going to give a big upgrade regarding the camera in iPhone 18 Pro. It is reported that this time the company is bringing a new lens with variable aperture. This lens will automatically become smaller or larger depending on the light. Due to which its user experience will be even better.
This will make the pictures clearer and more detailed. Especially in group photos and close-up photos, there will be no problem of focus. If sources related to the supply chain are to be believed, its production has also started. That means Apple has started preparations for the launch.
Now every photo will be available with perfect focus
According to the information received, Apple is working on providing variable aperture lens in both iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. Till now Apple’s phones have a fixed aperture of f/1.78. It takes good photos in low light.
But, sometimes apart from the subject, everything else becomes blurred. The new lens will have small actuator motors, which will adjust the aperture as per the need. China’s Sunny Optical is making these motors. LG Innotek will start assembling the camera module by June-July.
Why is variable aperture important for the user?
Let us tell you that currently most of the phones have fixed aperture. This gives good photos at night, but due to less depth of field, the entire photo does not come in focus. When shooting a group photo of people at the edge or a document, the text in the corner gets blurred.
This problem increases due to the larger sensor in the iPhone. Variable aperture will fix this problem. This will make the aperture smaller in bright light so that more of the frame is sharp. In low light the aperture will become larger so that more light comes in.
Apple will make it user friendly
It is worth noting that this technology is not completely new. It has already appeared in Samsung Galaxy S9. But at that time the sensors were small, so it did not make much difference. Its need has increased in today’s phones with big sensors. Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Huawei Pura 80 Ultra already have such a lens.
But Apple’s focus is on making it completely automatic. The company wants that the user does not have to do manual settings. The phone itself should decide when and how much aperture to keep. With this you will get professional like photos without any effort.
