NIA Court Verdict: New Delhi: A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) The court in 2023 in the case of terrorist conspiracy hatched in Bengaluru jail, the main mastermind and member of Lashkar-e-Toiba T. 7 people including Naseer have been sentenced to 7 years rigorous imprisonment. Earlier, Naseer had accepted the charge sheet filed by the NIA in the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)-related terror conspiracy case hatched at Bengaluru’s Parappanna Surgarara Central Jail. A statement issued by the NIA said that the conspiracy involved identifying youths in jails to carry out terrorist activities in India. Charge sheet was filed against 11 accused

The NIA, which took up the investigation, uncovered a massive conspiracy. As part of this conspiracy, Naseer, who was serving a life sentence in several terror cases, was helped to escape from jail on his way to court, while Naseer was an accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts case. The NIA has filed a charge sheet against the 11 arrested accused and absconding accused Junaid Ahmed in the case. Among these, the coordinated efforts of the NIA and relevant Rwandan agencies led to the arrest of accused Salman Khan after his successful extradition from the Republic of Rwanda, the statement said.
