Bihar Weather: The weather in Bihar is about to take a U-turn. Most districts in Bihar are currently experiencing the severe onslaught of scorching heat and heatwaves. The oppressive, humid heat has made daily life extremely difficult for the residents. Stepping out of the house during the afternoon hours has become a challenge. According to the Meteorological Department, residents will have to endure the torment of this scorching heat today; however, the weather pattern is expected to change within the next 24 hours.

Lowest Temperature Recorded in Arwal
According to the Meteorological Department, over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature across Bihar ranged between 33.0 and 43.0 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature—22.0 degrees Celsius—was recorded in Arwal. The state’s minimum temperatures generally hovered between 22.0 and 27.5 degrees Celsius.

Meteorological Department’s Forecast
According to the Meteorological Department, light rainfall is expected on Saturday in East Champaran and neighboring districts; it is projected to spread across the entire North Bihar by April 26. Consequently, a decline in Patna’s temperature is also forecast to begin on April 26. The Meteorological Department further predicts that widespread rainfall across both North and South Bihar on April 27 will likely lead to a further drop in temperatures.

According to the Meteorological Centre, there is a possibility of rainfall at isolated locations across Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, and Araria over the next 24 hours. In light of these changing weather conditions, the public has been urged to exercise caution.

Patna’s Weather
On Friday, the temperature in Patna city was recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius. It is expected to remain above 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday as well. However, starting Sunday, the temperature is forecast to decline gradually over the next three days. Warnings regarding heatwaves and extreme heat conditions have been issued for several districts across the state.

Possibility of Rain in 6 Districts
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for April 25, anticipating rainfall at one or two locations in the East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj districts of the state. There is also a possibility of strong winds accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few isolated spots. Meanwhile, humid conditions are expected at one or two locations in the state’s Aurangabad, Bhabhua, Gaya, Nawada, and Rohtas districts.
