‘Khalnayak Returns’: ‘Ballu Balram’ is coming again, film announced

Actor Sanjay Dutt is going to be seen once again in his villain style. The anti-hero character ‘Ballu Balram’ of the 1993 superhit film ‘Khalnayak’ is now going to return on the big screen in a new form. After the announcement of the film, filmmaker-director Subhash Ghai has expressed happiness by sharing the poster of Sanjay Dutt’s new character.

Subhash Ghai wrote on behalf of Mukta Arts Limited, “We are all very happy to see that our beloved Sanju is back with ‘Khalnayak Returns’. On Friday, an amazing teaser was shown to the media, which was highly appreciated by everyone.”

He further said that playing the iconic character like Ballu Balram again is a big challenge for Sanjay Dutt. He expressed full confidence that Sanjay will impress everyone with his acting this time too. Ghai extended his best wishes to Sanjay Dutt and the entire team.

Sanjay Dutt himself made the official announcement of the film ‘Khalnayak Returns’ on Friday. The film is said to be a new version of the 1993 original ‘Khalnayak’. In the original film, Sanjay Dutt played the role of villain, which was very popular at that time. The character of ‘Ballu Balram’ is still fresh in the memory of the audience. The original film ‘Khalnayak’ became a cult classic of that time. Apart from Sanjay Dutt, actors like Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff were in the lead roles. The songs and dialogues of the film are still very popular among the people.

During an event in Mumbai on Friday, Sanjay Dutt announced that his company ‘Three Dimension Motion Pictures’ and Aksha Kamboj’s ‘Aspect Entertainment’ have bought the rights for the sequel of the classic film ‘Khalnayak’ from Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts.

A short teaser of ‘Khalnayak Returns’ was also released at the event, in which Sanjay Dutt was seen in a new and powerful avatar of his famous character ‘Ballu Balram’.

Sanjay thanked Subhash Ghai and said, “Khalnayak’s journey has been very long. This would not have been possible without Subhash ji. He is a legend and the uncrowned king of the entertainment world. He will also be a part of this new film.”

Not many details have been revealed about the new film ‘Khalnayak Returns’.
