New Delhi: Danua valley of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand once again became witness to a horrific accident. Five people of the same family died on the spot in a horrific road accident that took place near Jodrahi bridge of Chauparan police station area between 6:30 and 7 pm on Saturday evening.
The dead after this accident include two men, a woman and two innocent children. Due to darkness, the number of people in the car could not be accurately counted. There are fears that the death toll may increase.
This accident was very painful
According to media reports, Celerio car number JH 10 CU 3472 going towards Dhanbad collided with a trailer in Danua Valley. Local people said that the collision was so strong that the car completely entered the back of the trailer. Before the car could recover, another truck coming from behind hit it.
Due to the double collision, the car was completely crushed and turned into debris. According to eyewitnesses, the accident was so terrible that the car was blown to pieces. The people sitting inside did not even get a chance to get out. The bodies were so badly damaged that identification became difficult. After the accident, both the truck drivers fled from the spot.
Danua became ‘valley of death’
Let us tell you that as soon as information about the incident was received, DSP Ajit Kumar Vimal reached the spot with the police team. The car was so badly mangled that it took a lot of effort to remove the bodies. The dead could not be identified till late night.
Local people immediately informed the police, but by then it was too late. There was anger among the local people after the accident. People say that Danua Valley has now become the “Valley of Death”. Hundreds of accidents occur here every year and dozens of lives are lost. Despite this, the administration and the National Highway Authority did not take any concrete steps.
People allege that after every major accident, strictness is seen for a few days, then everything becomes as before. Danua Valley is taking someone’s life every day. Now the time has come that permanent and strict arrangements should be made here, so that no other family loses their light in this valley.
