TMC does not believe in democracy… CM Yogi lashed out at Mamta government in Nadia, said – Bengal has become a symbol of loot and misgovernance.
Nadiya. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress (TMC) during his visit to West Bengal. He said in a public meeting organized in support of the BJP candidate from Nabadwip Assembly seat of Nadia district that Mamata Didi is worried about how Iftar will be held on the streets if the number of Hindus increases. Accusing Yogi of destroying law and order, he said that TMC does not believe in democracy. He said that in the first phase of voting, there were attacks on BJP leaders and candidates, which was witnessed by the entire country.
“When the results come on May 4, TMC goons will have no place to hide. Bengal will no longer accept anarchy,” he warned. The chief minister accused the Congress, Left parties and TMC of making Bengal a “symbol of plunder and misgovernance”.
He said that now the time has come that the state should free itself from these and elect a “double engine government”, which will develop at double the speed. Yogi was addressing the public meeting in support of BJP candidate Shruti Shekhar Goswami from Nabadwip assembly constituency. Despite the scorching heat, a large number of people gathered at the public meeting. Supporters raised slogans of “Yogi-Yogi”, to which the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude.
He congratulated the voters for the record turnout in 152 seats in the first phase and said that the people want freedom from terrorism, mafia rule and corruption. He claimed that with the results on May 4, the BJP flag will fly across Bengal. Referring to CAA, the Chief Minister said that this law guarantees Indian citizenship to people of Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh communities persecuted in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. He alleged that TMC opposed this law.
He said that infiltrators are being given protection in Bengal, while they are encroaching on the rights of the local people. Yogi alleged that efforts are being made to ban Durga Puja, idol immersion and slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in Bengal. He said that Calcutta High Court also had to give strict instructions in this regard.
He clearly said that “No one can stop the worship of Maa Kali and Maa Durga on the land of Bengal. If anyone tries, there will be protests on the streets.” The Chief Minister said that before 2017, the situation in Uttar Pradesh was also bad, but now the rule of law has been established and the model of development has been put in front of the entire country. He claimed that the same model can be implemented in Bengal also.
